इतिहास पढ़ना वर्तमान सही करना है

कुछ दिनों से इतिहास के उन पन्नों को पढ़ना हो रहा है जिसे कभी पढ़ने का अवसर नहीं मिला। वैसे भी अगर पढ़ाई विज्ञान में हुई हो तो कला विषय की किताबों को देखने का अवसर नहीं मिलता। और इतिहास विषय प्रारंभ से ही अंकों के लिये पढ़ना हो तब और मुश्किल जान पड़ता रहा था। किसी भी विषय को जब अंको के बोझ से जोड़ा जाता है तब उसमें रुचि कम होती जाती है। सही मार्गदर्शक अपनी कोशिशों से उस ओर ले जा सकते हैं, जो अंकों की अपेक्षा जानने की उत्सुकता की ओर ले जाए।

     इतिहास जिसमें परिश्रम, कठिनाई, संघर्ष और विजय सबकुछ मिल जाता है, यह वर्तमान की हर परिस्थिति से निबटने में बहुत सहायक होता है। इतिहास हमेशा दुहराया जाता है और यह सिर्फ कहने की बात नहीं होती, बल्कि इस दुहराव में अगर तुलना हो तब परिणाम भी वही निकल आते हैं। इनदिनों इतिहास पढ़ने के क्रम में हमारे भारतवर्ष की उन महिलाओं के विषय में जानने का अवसर मिला जिन्होंने न जाने किस तरह और किन विषम परिस्थितियों में अपनी पहचान बनाई। जहाँ वैदिक काल में विदुषी महिलाएँ थीं, वहीं मध्यकाल में शासकीय, संघर्ष, सहनशील, बुद्धिमान महिलाएँ। हर युग मे महिलाओं के गुण में उन्नति होती रही और बावजूद इसके, महिलाओं के लिए सामाजिक सोच के दायरे संकुचित होते रहे। हालांकि ये संकुचित दायरे अपने ही घरों से विकसित होते हैं और तब कहीं जाकर बाहर निकल आते हैं। सोचने वाली बात है कि जहाँ वैदिककाल में महिलाएं विद्वान और विदुषी थीं, उन्हें पूरे समाज में अपने ज्ञान के प्रदर्शन में कोई समस्या नहीं थी, वहीं बाद के समय में उनकी शिक्षा प्राप्ति में कठिनाई होने लगी। हालांकि अब समय काफी बदल चुका है, लेकिन जिस शिक्षा और जीवन के स्तर की मांग वर्तमान चाहता है वह बिल्कुल अलग है। यह ठीक है कि समय के साथ चलना जरूरी है, लेकिन यह भी सही है कि शिक्षा की जिन नीतियों और उद्देश्यों की बात हो वह सही साबित हो ताकि भविष्य को सुधारा जा सके। 

  हमारे यहाँ इतिहास अपना बलिदान देकर पूरे समाज को बचाने की रही, अपने संघर्ष से चिकित्सक बनकर क्षतियों को रोकने की रही, वैदिक विधाओं का अध्ययन कर अपनी बुद्धिमत्ता को साबित करने की रही और अपनी पूरी जिम्मेदारी से भविष्य को सुधारने की रही। फिर यह चुकी वर्तमान है तब इस मजबूत कड़ी के साहस, धैर्य, बुद्धिमानी, सहजता का ध्यान देश में या दुनिया के किसी भी कोने के लिये जरूरी है। हमारे लिये बीता हुआ समय इतिहास है तब वर्षों बाद हमारा वर्तमान इतिहास होगा और हम इतिहास से बहुत कुछ सीख रहे होते हैं।

To read history is to correct the present

 For a few days, those pages of history are being read which never got the opportunity to read.  Anyway, if the studies have been done in science, then there is no opportunity to see the books of art subject.  And studying for marks from the very beginning as the subject of history, then it seemed more difficult.  When any subject is attached to the weight of marks, then interest in it decreases.  The right guides can, with their efforts, lead them towards the eagerness to know rather than the marks.

      History in which hard work, hardship, struggle and victory is found, it is very helpful in dealing with every situation of the present.  History is always repeated and it is not just a matter of saying, but if there is a comparison in this repetition, then the results also come out the same.  In the course of reading history these days, we got an opportunity to know about the women of our India who did not know how and in what odd circumstances they made their mark.  Where there were intelligent women in the Vedic period, there were ruling, conflict, tolerant, intelligent women in the medieval period.  The quality of women continued to improve in each era, and despite this, the scope of social thinking for women continued to narrow.  However, these narrow circles develop from their own homes and then come out somewhere else.  It is a matter to think that while women were scholars and scholars in the Vedic period, they did not have any problem in displaying their knowledge to the whole society, while in later times they started finding difficulty in getting their education.  Though the times have changed a lot now, the education and standard of living demanded by the present day is totally different.  It is right that it is necessary to keep up with the times, but it is also true that the policies and objectives of education which are talked about should prove to be correct so that the future can be improved.

   Here history has been about saving the whole society by sacrificing one's own life, becoming a doctor through our struggle to prevent the damages, studying Vedic methods and proving our wisdom and improving the future with our full responsibility.  Then it is the present, then the attention of courage, patience, intelligence, ease of this strong link is necessary for any corner of the country or the world.  For us the past is history, then years later our present history will be there and we are learning a lot from history.
